Treating While You Train?

As clinicians with a focus on orthopedic and sports injuries and rehabilitation, we are often asked about what gear and equipment we use to help keep ourselves going. So without further ado, here is a short list of some of the tools we have found beneficial with a cost-effective focus (we have absolutely no affiliation with any products, rather this is a list gathered from fellow clients, athletes, and clinical experience):

Resistance Bands:

Theraband with build in loops for multiple foot/hand/set up variables (each color is a different resistance). Click here to check them out!

Tubing Kits:

There are plenty of options from 2lbs to 30lbs. They come with handles and a carry bag. Click here to check them out!

Suspension Trainer:

This link provides you with a trainer similar to TRX, with all the quality and not the high price tag.

Voodoo Bands:

These bands are perfect for compression wrapping, pain reduction at joints and in soft tissue, and reducing crepitus. Click here to check them out!

Mobilization Gear:

Acupressure Mat (great for relieving tension in tight muscles, particularly the back)

Ice Roller (a non-messy (i.e. no water dripping from ice cups!) way to ice down smaller swollen and painful tissue areas)

Curious on how we use them? Be on the lookout for future videos, or feel free to call us at 622-2500.
